James Carey is a private equity investor and M&A executive with more than 20 years of experience sourcing, evaluating, structuring and executing middle market investments.
He is Managing Partner of Relevance Capital, which he co-founded after serving as Partner and Head of M&A at Next Sparc Growth Partners, a single-family office with more than $4 billion in assets. Earlier in his career, he was a Vice President at Peterson Partners, a Director at H.I.G. Capital, a global private equity firm with over $75 billion in assets under management, and an Associate at Huizenga Holdings.
James holds a degree from the University of Vermont. He lives in Miami with his wife and two children, and is an avid golfer who caddies for his son.
